About Us

We are a state-of-the-art ceramics studio offering membership with 24/7/365 access, classes for all ages and skill levels, private lessons, events, and one-time experiences.

We offer the most advanced ceramic technology housed in a clean, modern environment.

We will be opening for membership November 1, 2018.

BKLYN CLAY will open with cone 6 and cone 10 oxidation firing and will add gas firing with two state-of-the-art Blaauw gas kilns within the first year after opening.

Firing for members & students will be 3 cents per cubic inch per firing, and outside firing will be available at 6 cents per cubic inch per firing. We will also offer kiln rentals.

Class registration opens August 27, 2018
Classes begin October 21, 2018


Jennifer Waverek Owner/Director

Jennifer has 30+ years of experience in brand strategy and graphic design, working both in-house and as a principle partner in her own creative agency. She’s worked for fortune 500 companies such as Martha Stewart Living, Clinique, and Donna Karan to local boutiques and art collectives. Jennifer holds a BA in Visual Arts and Art History from Columbia University. Jennifer has shown work in the disciplines of painting, printmaking, graphic design, and handbuilt ceramics.

Laura Vogel Assistant Director

Vogel is a retired attorney currently working in the field of digital strategy, marketing, and production. She owns her own digital production company, Winged Pup Productions, which has operated out of Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, CA for the past 5 years. Her clients include leaders in the field of entertainment, as well as the non-profit world. Laura holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in Philosophy, Anthropology, and Fine Arts from New York University. Laura creates wheel-thrown ceramic work.
