Join Nadine Sobel for a workshop on making one-of-a-kind ceramics using the ancient Japanese technique of Kurinuki. Kurinuki is a hand-building process unlike other. With this technique, you work reductively, beginning with a solid and slightly hardened mass of clay, shaping and then hollowing out the ball to reveal your piece. No prior experience with this technique is required, though some experience with ceramics is helpful. Participants will receive one bisque-fired piece included in the cost of the workshop, with the opportunity to purchase additional pieces for $15 each.
